Seek out the Big Five in addition to rarer species such as Wild Dog, Reticulated Giraffe and Black Rhino, an endangered species. The rare Grevy’s zebra is the world’s largest living horse species; With only around 3000 left on Earth, this striking species is not one that you are likely to find just anywhere.

Segera is home to owner Jochen Zeitz’s impressive collection of contemporary art from Africa — known as the Zeitz Collection. A stroll through the botanical gardens will reveal dramatic wire sculptures, monumental bronze, stone and steel works, land and earth art, outdoor projections and site-specific interventions. In the Stables and Paddock House you can view watercolors, video installations, prints, etchings and paintings from artists who are shaping the modern African art collections of our time. During your stay you can visit the C4C exhibit opposite the Spa to find out more about the artworks and ethos.

The diverse landscape features wooded savannahs, four rivers with riverbeds, and a beautiful cascading waterfall. egera's 50,000 acres are exclusively private and home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and buffalos, as well as endangered species like the reticulated giraffe, Grevy’s zebra and African wild dog. You'll embark on daily game drives in open-sided 4x4 safari vehicles, seeking out these species along with classic plains game and incredible birdlife; Over 200 bird species have been recorded here, making it a paradise for bird enthusiasts.

The reserve also serves as a haven for endangered species such as Grevy's zebra, Lelwel's hartebeest, and African wild dogs. Daily game drives reveal a multitude of plains game, hippos, and reptiles.
