Singita’s concession covers 420,000 acres of the central western Delta, a private world of channels, islands, lagoons, grasslands and swamps, reshaped each year by the flood. Its wildlife follows the water, from Hippo and Lechwe to Zebra, Giraffe and Leopard, and the Delta is one of Africa’s great birding destinations.
Explore on daily drives and guided walks, by mokoro and boat in season, or from above on a helicopter flight over the floodplains.
Many of the Delta’s islands began as termite mounds, raised just above the floods until trees took root and the land grew around them.

Singita Elela
Elela means ‘to flow’ in Setswana, and the lodge is designed around the Delta’s rhythms: built on stilts and open to the landscape on all sides, with the water passing beneath its walkways in season. There are five one-bedroom suites, two two-bedroom suites and a four-bedroom villa, each with its own vehicle, guide and tracker, a pool and a fire pit. At the heart of the lodge, the hub brings guests together for dining, the Conservation Lounge and the regional campus of the Singita Community Culinary School. Children of all ages are welcome.
